  • Yes! Eyewearhaus offers sunglasses with and without prescription lenses. In fact, we encourage the protection of your eyes against the harmful effects of the sun. Most of our unique eyewear can be transformed into sunglasses as well! There are many options. We also offer magnetic tinted lenses that can be customized to fit your unique eyewear. Another convenient option is having lenses that transition into sunglasses when directly exposed to sunlight (photochromic lenses). Having an entirely separate pair of prescription sunglasses with a custom tint of your choosing (solid or gradient, light or dark) is another approach to much-needed UV protection for your eyes.

  • We offer comprehensive eye exams and contact lens fittings by experienced optometrists. During these exams, we diagnose your eyewear prescription and extensively evaluate your eye health. Annual eye exams are strongly encouraged to maintain your overall health especially if you are living with health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and autoimmune conditions, just to name a few.

Our Eyewearhaus optometrists treat dry eye syndrome, allergic eyes, and eye infections, and co-manage care with local ophthalmologists for cataract and refractive surgery. We communicate with your primary care provider and medical specialist regarding your overall eye health.

  • Whether you are a new or established patient, please bring your most recent eyewear and contact lens prescription. Our optometrists will inform you of any changes your eyes have made compared to these prescriptions. It is always beneficial but not necessary to have your latest eye health history faxed to Eyewearhaus at 314-567-7562 as well.

  • Not only do we provide an extraordinary collection of unique frames, we utilize the most technological advanced lenses to provide the best choices in lens clarity and protection available based on your lifestyle concerns. The following are some of the latest technologies available at our optical boutique:

Ultra-Thin lenses allow challenging prescriptions, the ability to choose from a variety of fabulous eyewear from which they were previously limited due to lens thickness.

Progressive lenses are also known as “no-line” bifocals or trifocals allow the ability to see clearly at all distances from near, intermediate to long-distance.

UV Protection makes it easier to see in bright-light conditions, protects your eyes against the harmful effects of the sun, and lessens the amount of squinting you have to do. Polarized lenses and photochromic lenses both provide UV protection for the eyes.

Polarized lenses filter glaring sunlight which are bright horizontal light reflected off surfaces such as streets, snow and water, which will provide the best visual clarity during the daytime.

Photochromic lenses are designed to automatically darken when exposed directly to UV light and then return to clear when the UV light is removed.

Non-glare lenses eliminate harsh reflections from indoor or outdoor lighting on the surface of your lenses.

Blue Light Protection and Digital Eye Fatigue lenses are a recent breakthrough in lens technology. These lenses are beneficial because they are designed to relieve eye strain associated to using digital screens, they can filter harmful blue light of digital devices and therefore provide a better visual experience for the wearer.
